Oh boy 2 months already?

So Charlotte was off at school today and it was a "mini" photo session with my little sweet guy.. We are getting up only once most nights and getting pretty big! We did have a bit of a cold around 5 weeks old but that is part of having a big sister in school..Thankfully, it only lasted about a week and did not require any meds! Yeah! At 2 months Everett weighed in at 14lbs and 1oz and was 24 inches long..

Everett is spending a few more hours during the day awake and eating every 3-4 hrs. He is still sleeping in the cradle in our room and most likely will until he is sleeping through the night.. I find myself savoring the cuddle time and could honestly spend most of my days just rocking and loving on him.....but I'm working on a balance of cleaning, cooking and spending time with Charlotte. Speaking of Charlotte, she is loving helping us with her little brother.. From burpie cloths to dirty diapers she is "hands on deck" which is very helpful! The interacting between Everett and Charlotte is pretty remarkable. I don't wish these next several months away but I look forward to watching their relationship develop ..It is the sweetest thing!

Welcome precious baby Everett....

Everett's "birth" day was truly a very calm and peaceful day. The day honestly couldn't have gone any more perfect. I had my very last OB appointment at 10 that day and technically had a C-section scheduled for the very next day (due date). However, I had so many changes that I was confident that baby was going to come on his/her own and a VBAC was going to happen. I'll save anyone who reads this all the details of the day but at 6:55pm September 29, 2011 we met our second sweet baby. We are amazing creatures designed by the most gifted Creator. God was there in the room as we meet our son for the first time and whispered to my mom that her daughter just had a son and that everything went beautifully and that this little angel was just perfect.

Hello!! Welcome "back" to my blog!!! I have neglected this for months and I'm so sorry for those of you that have check in to see how we are all doing. As you can see life is pretty great! I will upload more photos in the next week but here a just a few of my favorites...This one with Charlotte is from our recent trip home where we meet up with some good friends in Ft. Myers Beach for the weekend. The photos of Everett are from the same trip but we were visiting a botanical garden and his smile was to precious to resist! Check back soon!
