Emma Claire | 8 Months Old

Today was the perfect day for an outside photo shoot! This afternoon I met up with sweet little Emma Claire. It is hard to believe she is already so big considering how little she started out (1lb 13oz). Here is a quick sneak peek of todays session..

Waiting | Chris and Allison

Today I meet up with Allison and Chris to take some pictures before there little baby girl makes her "grand" entrance. The 90 degree "fall" weather wasless then desirable but we braved the heat and headed to Radnor Lake. Bed rest is no way to spend the last few weeks of your pregnancy so, Allison I hope you go for that maternity massage soon! If nothing else it is an excuse to get out of the house! Thanks for a great morning.
Here is just a sneak peek of our session..

Sewing take 1| Ruffle pants

Well, usually I'm posting pictures of precious babies, super cute kiddo's or just fun pictures of whatever we are getting ourselves into... Today, I have decided to change things up a bit :-) I'll start things out with the fact that I don't know what to do with a pattern from the store. (period) But, I can trace a pair of pants and make a pattern!! So that is what I did. Second, I really can only sew SUPER basic to say the least. I fell in love with a line of clothes you might be familiar with called Matilda Jane. But, I refuse to spend $70 on pants for my 2 year old. So I started searching on Etsy.com (if you haven't checked it out, it is amazing) looking for some cute ruffle pants. I came across this

http://www.etsy.com/listing/56552781/sizes-12m-to-4t-denim-ruffle-jeans?ref=sr_gallery_36&ga_search_query=denim+ruffle+pant&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title

And I began to think that these can't be too hard could they? So then I googled how to make ruffle pants and came upon this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74s7ealQlVc

(2 videos) and decided to see what I could come up with.. I found that they were really easy! Here are a few picture of my ruffle pants for Charlotte

What do you think? I choose a stretchy denim in a dark blue. I also made the ruffle a 4 inch ruffle however you could make these completely custom to your preference. I also came across this INCREDIBLE blog!!! Sewing Dork.. (sounds like me) http://sewingdork.blogspot.com/ This blog is so cool! The "author" has so many money saving tips and tricks to salvage your clothes and make something really unique for you and or your little one. (sorry, it is mostly for girls). Thanks for checking in! I will post a picture of my little model once we wakes up from a wonderful nap!

Oh, I almost forgot the best part!!! So the fabric at Joann's was about $9 yd and the elastic waist band was $1.50. Total cost was about $10.50 and about 1 hour of time!!! BIG TIME SAVINGS!!! I will admit that getting the waist size it a bit challenging but once I had that figured out it was a piece of cake..

Gage| 18 Months Old

A quick post before bed..... Here are a few pictures of my shoot with Gage. His is quite a handsome little guy! I love his spiky blonde hair and his "Oh so serious" facial expressions. He made me work extra hard for his sweet smile but it was worth it! Enjoy......
