The little preformer..

After a quick photo session at the bicentennial mall park, we played a little ourselves :-) Charlotte danced and sang for all the people walking around the bell towers..And as you can see had a pretty wonderful time! She is full of personality and when I say full I mean FULL.. I love the carefree attitude she has everyday. I want to bottle that up and save it forever.. These photos make me smile and laugh each time I look at them knowing how much fun she had on "her stage" at the bell towers...

What did you do today?

Today we started out at our local A'museaum for a special treat from Natural History Education Co. of the MidSouth. We learned about a diverse group of wildlife - a python, hedgehog, fox, prairie dog, pheasant. We had lunch with friends then headed home to play outside.. What a beautiful day to spend outside! Here are a few photos of my kiddos... The first image is SOOC (which means straight out of camera, unedited) It has great composition and coloring.. And I just love the image of the two of them!!!

4 Months old..Where has the time gone..

Everett is 4 months old and I am now adjusting to returning to work..I love my job. But I sure miss my sweet babies when I'm away.. The BIG advantage is that I when I'm at work Blake is home with Charlotte and Everett (if Charlotte isn't in school). I couldn't ask for anything better.. We 50/50 parent our kiddos.. From laundry and cooking to bath time and story time we share it all.. Some days more then 50% for one of us especially when I'm gone from 5:45am until 8:25pm the same day..It makes for a very long day but again...We wouldn't have it any other way. Here are a few 4 months photos I took of Everett in January..It feels like yesterday.. Not 6 weeks ago.. Love-Tarrah

Taking a break.....

Today I decided that I was going to take a break from Facebook... I find myself in a "funk" frequently after reading posts, status updats ect.. I'm not quite sure why but, a break is needed. Maybe in a few weeks I will find myself less sensitive.. We are off for a hike to clear our heads (atleast mine) I will be updating my blog instead.. Happy Sunday!

3 months smiles.....

This little guys has the sweetest smiles....They just melt my heart.. We are had a nice calm Christmas spent with friends and are getting ready for our first trip to Florida! Charlotte and Everett's great Oma and Opa are visiting from Germany so we are headed south to visit in just a few short days... This will make somewhere around 10 flights for Miss Charlotte and #1 for Everett...We are excited for the sunshine and warm weather.... At 3 months we are liking tummy time a bit more and he loves to watch Charlotte play around him! He loves his playmat and loves to watch all the flashy lights and music that entertain him.. We are sure this guy will be getting some pearly whites soon! We will keep you posted on that.

Oh boy 2 months already?

So Charlotte was off at school today and it was a "mini" photo session with my little sweet guy.. We are getting up only once most nights and getting pretty big! We did have a bit of a cold around 5 weeks old but that is part of having a big sister in school..Thankfully, it only lasted about a week and did not require any meds! Yeah! At 2 months Everett weighed in at 14lbs and 1oz and was 24 inches long..

Everett at 1 month old

Everett is spending a few more hours during the day awake and eating every 3-4 hrs. He is still sleeping in the cradle in our room and most likely will until he is sleeping through the night.. I find myself savoring the cuddle time and could honestly spend most of my days just rocking and loving on him.....but I'm working on a balance of cleaning, cooking and spending time with Charlotte. Speaking of Charlotte, she is loving helping us with her little brother.. From burpie cloths to dirty diapers she is "hands on deck" which is very helpful! The interacting between Everett and Charlotte is pretty remarkable. I don't wish these next several months away but I look forward to watching their relationship develop ..It is the sweetest thing!
